"KareBud™ is your health journey companion. These terms ensure that while we support you, you remain the primary driver of your health decisions."
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using KareBud™, you agree to:
- These Terms of Service
- The KareBud™ Privacy Policy
- Any additional consent you provide for specific journeys or features
If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
KareBud is currently offered as an early commercial and beta-stage service. Some features may be experimental, unavailable, changed, rate-limited, or discontinued. Feature availability, compliance availability, integrations, pricing, and support levels may vary by plan, deployment, geography, and signed agreement.
Account holders must be at least 18 years old. An authorized adult may create a managed Teen profile for someone age 13 through 17 or another eligible dependent profile. You must not create a profile or enter health data for anyone under 13. You must accurately attest to age eligibility and your authority to manage another person's information.
KareBud may store and summarize diagnoses, conditions, procedures, symptoms, and other facts already reported by you or documented by a clinician. The service should label the source and preserve the reported meaning without hiding, softening, or intensifying it. This does not permit KareBud AI to generate a new diagnosis.
2. Description of the Service
KareBud™ is a health empowerment and journey companion designed to help you:
KareBud™ is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not a replacement for healthcare professionals.
Unless a separate signed agreement says otherwise, KareBud is provided for personal organization, reflection, and preparation. Exports, summaries, review cues, and interoperability outputs are for review and may require correction before use in care or records systems.
3. AI Features & Limitations
AI Purpose:
- Summarize user information
- Generate reflective content
- Assist in data understanding
AI Restrictions:
- NO diagnosis of conditions
- NO treatment recommendations
- NO clinical decision support
You acknowledge that AI is used to provide contextual language (such as summarization and sensemaking) grounded in user-reported data. Mappings and summaries are assistive tools combining deterministic and probabilistic outputs with confidence indicators, and do not constitute clinical findings. You remain responsible for verifying information and making medical decisions with qualified professionals.
AI may organize reported data, identify possible patterns, draft summaries, or prepare questions. AI must not be treated as the source of truth. Reported facts remain reported facts; generated review cues remain unverified unless a qualified clinician independently reviews and documents them through an appropriate workflow.
KareBud may keep prompt, output, consent, correction, and audit metadata when needed for safety, traceability, security, service operation, or legal compliance.
4. Your Responsibilities
You agree to provide information you believe to be accurate and to use KareBud™ for personal, lawful purposes.
You are responsible for reviewing information before sharing it, confirming that medication names, doses, units, and schedules are correct, and correcting errors you notice. If you use KareBud for another person, you must have authority to do so and must respect their privacy and applicable laws.
CRITICAL: KareBud™ does not monitor users in real time and cannot detect or respond to medical emergencies. Do not rely on KareBud™ for urgent medical decisions.
5. Data Ownership & Privacy
You retain ownership of your data.
We process data as described in our Privacy Policy. Storage and processing vary by feature and configuration. KareBud may use contracted service providers, including AI providers. Automated tools may attempt to reduce direct identifiers, but redaction and routing controls cannot guarantee that every sensitive detail will be identified or removed.
6. Consent & Journeys
Specific features require explicit, logged consent, particularly when:
- Creating a new health journey
- Enabling AI-powered summaries or motivation
- External data sharing (if enabled)
All consent is revocable. Withdrawing consent for data processing may limit your ability to use certain features.
KareBud may show the latest consent records in Settings and may notify you when a feature requires consent before use. Consent logs and correction/audit logs may be retained to document what was authorized or changed.
7. Plans, Trials & Payments
Paid plans, trials, founding-member offers, usage limits, refund windows, cancellation rules, taxes, and renewal terms will be shown at checkout or in the applicable order form. Promotional offers are subject to eligibility, availability, and change.
Unless stated otherwise at purchase, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically delete your account or health data.
8. Clinician & Care-Team Use
KareBud may help prepare summaries, timelines, and review cues for clinician or care-team review. Clinicians and care-team members remain responsible for independent professional judgment, patient assessment, documentation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
A clinician's access to KareBud does not by itself create a provider-patient relationship with KareBud. Any medical relationship is between you and your clinician or care organization.
9. No Medical Advice
KareBud™ does not provide medical advice. Do not start, stop, or change medication or treatment based on KareBud content. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding medical concerns, diagnosis, or treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read on KareBud™.
10. Prohibited Uses
You may not use KareBud to:
- make emergency, diagnostic, treatment, prescribing, underwriting, employment, insurance, or eligibility decisions;
- enter information for someone under 13 or for anyone you are not authorized to support;
- harass, surveil, coerce, or secretly monitor another person;
- upload illegal content, malware, or information you do not have rights to use;
- reverse engineer the service, bypass security controls, scrape data, or overload systems;
- misrepresent KareBud outputs as verified clinician diagnoses or official medical records.
11. Intellectual Property
You retain rights in the content you submit. You grant KareBud a limited license to host, process, display, summarize, transmit, and secure that content as needed to provide the service and as described in the Privacy Policy.
KareBud, the software, design, workflows, trademarks, and generated interface elements are owned by KareBud or its licensors. Do not copy, resell, or use them outside the service except as expressly allowed.
12. Warranty & Liability
KareBud is provided as available and without warranties except where non-waivable law says otherwise. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free outputs, clinical accuracy, compatibility with every device or health-record system, or that all issues will be detected.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KareBud and its creators are not liable for medical outcomes, loss of data not caused by our legal fault, indirect damages, or decisions made based on AI summaries, exports, review cues, or user interpretations of the service.
13. Termination & Data Deletion
You may stop using KareBud™ and delete your account at any time. Upon deletion:
- Personal health data is deleted or anonymized according to the Privacy Policy
- Certain audit records may be retained for legal and regulatory compliance
KareBud may suspend or terminate access for security, legal, nonpayment, misuse, suspected unauthorized dependent access, or material breach of these Terms.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our service or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes and request renewed consent where required by law.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Bridgewater, New Jersey. For beta users, you retain all non-waivable rights available under applicable local consumer protection laws.
